Is my video or voice recorded?
No. The camera and microphone check runs inside your browser only. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent anywhere. The internet test exchanges random test data with Cloudflare’s speed test service; it never sends your video or sound.
What internet speed do I need for video chat?
For smooth video, aim for an upload of at least 1.5 Mbps and a ping under 200 ms. Wi-Fi is usually more stable than mobile data. If the connection is weak, sit closer to the router or switch networks.
Why doesn’t the camera work in TikTok, Instagram or Telegram?
Their built-in browsers often block the camera. Open the page in Chrome or Safari instead. The same applies to identity verification, which also needs the camera.
My picture is too dark. What helps?
Face a window or a lamp so the light falls on your face, and avoid a bright window behind you. A simple desk lamp in front of you is often enough.
Which phone do I need?
Any recent smartphone with a front camera works. Keep the browser updated, and allow camera and microphone access when asked.
